Enjoy incredible Sunsets and watch the massive cargo ships sail by while sitting on the patio and several decks. The peaceful setting overlooks turtle pond that is protected wetlands. We enjoy daily sightings of many rare bird species visiting our calming wetlands. This is a tranquil setting that is best appreciated in the early morning and at sunset.

In addition to the enjoyment of the wetlands, you have beach views over the tops of the DNR protected myrtle. This North Beach house is on a quiet residential street away from the noise and crowds of the pier. One of your neighbors is a Hollywood star!

A short 200-yard stroll via a private access takes you to a wide, uncrowded beach with some of the best fishing on Tybee. There is nothing between you and the beach but sand dunes and turtles!

This spacious four-bedroom Beach House is decorated in a tropical beach décor with comfortable furnishings. Custom art depicting the resident egrets, wall murals and tapestries were commissioned from a local Tybee artist specifically for this home.

The House is perfect for two families traveling together. The house is set up with a separate kitchen and two bedrooms per side with a lock off door that provides privacy if needed.

The first spacious fully outfitted kitchen offers every amenity needed. Refrigerator, dishwasher, oven range and microwave. For convenience there is a second Kitchenette with a full-size oven range, microwave and refrigerator.

Captain’s View offers two Master Suites. The first Master Bedroom has its own private, romantic balcony providing the home’s best views. The second Master Suite has a luxurious bathroom with a romantic air tub and, king-size, four-poster bed with water views and wrap around deck.

We have all NEW TVs that can stream all the new apps. We do NOT have cable, so please bring your login info for your favorite apps!

NOISE:
This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do not allow loud noise, music, public drunkenness, or parties of any sort, including NO BACHELORETTE/BACHELOR GROUPS! This is a family oriented neighborhood. Violators may be evicted and/or fined.
The City of Tybee Noise Ordinance requires strict observance of QUIET TIME between 10 pm and 7 am. Tybee Island Police and the neighborhood strictly enforces this. The individual violators (not the property owner) can be fined by the City.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY is 8 people at all times, including infants & children.
No pets. No smoking.
Minimum age to reserve is 25 years old.

PARKING:
MAXIMUM OF 4 VEHICLES ALLOWED: 2 Garage spaces, driveway space for 2 vehicles.
No street parking allowed in this neighborhood. NO RVs or trailers.

  A friend made the reservation and then I took over when she could not make the trip. Susanna was easy to work with, kind and helpful. I let her know of a couple very minor issues we had and she was happy I did so they could be remedied for the next guest.
  The house was very nice, decor and furnishings updated, super clean and conveniently located. We had a perfect weekend and would definitely rent this place again.

  Our family of 7 loved the location and the layout of this property. A short walk to the ocean, quiet street, quick drive to Savannah (except for road construction on the bridge!), clean and well maintained, lovely art and great water pressure in the shower! We couldn't use the tap water for eating/drinking because of the chlorine smell, but I noticed this in restaurants as well.

  The property was very nice. We rented 54/56. The directions on the site took us to a different location. We did manage to find it. The property was as described on the VRBO site, except for,the site doesn't mention there are 3 sets of stairs. I knew there were stairs. Just didn't know there were so many. This rental is not for anyone with any kind of walking disability. Which we had 2 guests but, we made it work. We didn't get to go to the beach due to really bad weather. We did call in an order and pick it up from The Crab Shack. They were an amazing staff and great food. We also ate at Paula Deens Creek House. That too was amazing.... Staff and food. Overall the house is very nice. There was PLENTY of space for 6 adults. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property.

  The house and location were nice and everything was clean. The pier and turtle pond in the backyard was great, loved feeding the turtles. Had heavy rain a couple of times and the rain runs right in the door off the dining room, really needs to be replaced. Supplies are limited, no condiments or anything leftover in house. That was ok,but I've never seen that before. Usually find spices, etc. in homes I've rented before. Overall wonderful experience, enjoyed Tybee.

  Captains View was perfect for our group! The bedrooms were comfortable. The living room was spacious! Loved the two kitchens! The turtle pond right outside our door, along with the beautiful walkway to the beach were amazing! The beach had very minimal people on it and the water was perfect! Each day we saw dolphins up close along with many birds! This place is perfect for a group of friends or two families traveling together.

  Wonderful vacation with family! Having both units made the stay comfortable for kids, parents and grandparents. Loved feeding the turtles and watching the cargo ships. The beds and furniture were nice and comfortable. Kitchen table was the most worn and some of the walls upstairs definitely showed renter wear and tear. The beach directly behind the unit is rough and better suited for fishing; we recommend walking down the street to use the north beach access point. It is a healthy walk but definitely doable; note that access trail is a little overgrown. We would definitely recommend this rental. Tip - the instructions in the house about the trash were dated (no need to take the cans out to the curb). Loved Tybee and having Savannah so close. A special first visit to this area which won’t be the last.

  The house very well kept up, clean, and met the descriptions provided. Nice views of the wetlands and container ships and a relatively short walk down a boardwalk and over the dunes to the beach. Even though I like the beach more on the south end of the island, I preferred staying on the north end at this property because of the quiet, less crowded neighborhood. The house is also within walking distance of the lighthouse, a nice attraction. Tybee Island was also very nice for renting bikes and biking the beach at low tide and streets at high tide. I highly recommend this property and Tybee Island for a relaxing vacation.
