Jones Street - Chippewa Suite

The Jones Street Suites is located on Historic Jones Street, Savannah's best address. The Chippewa Suite is located on the 3rd floor (walk up) of The Jones Street Suites. A grand entrance with elaborate light fixtures, a sweeping staircase and beautiful heart pine floors lead you to the Chippewa Suite. The Romantic Retreat with 10-foot ceilings, ornate ceiling medallions is filled with antiques and interesting art. Numerous windows flood the suite with light and provide views of Savannah's famous Jones Street.

The open floor plan has an elegantly furnished living room with a fabulous kitchen with granite counters and top of the line stainless appliances. The shared Charleston style side porch furnished with comfortable furniture allows for relaxation.. The grand four-poster mahogany bed, antique armoire for TV create the perfect Romantic Retreat. The newly renovated bathroom has a spacious shower and crystal chandelier.

  The property was in an excellent location, but had a few minor issues. The cabinet below the kitchen sink was off the hinge. The internet for the unit didn't work, but we were able to get on the adjacent units network. The smoke detector started beeping with a low battery at 3am one morning. The shared balcony was right off the bedroom and was noisy when our neighbors were out there for morning coffee which made things awkward. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen could have been better stocked. There were no oven mitts and only one kitchen towel for example. Part of the reason I got the unit is because we do enjoy cooking. The building was charming and the location was great. I would probably stay here again, but hopefully management fixes some if the issues mentioned above.

  We loved our stay here. We did not have any issues getting street parking. We stopped at the Kroger nearby to stock up for our weekend on the way into town. It was a 10-20 minute walk to everything we wanted to see. The host was quick to respond to a need we had when we first arrived. They also left a welcome basket and Savannah visitor information which was an unexpected touch. Our 2 children loved the suite as well and one wanted us to move in. We never noticed noise from the restaurant next door. My only recommendation would be to put up a curtain or shade to the window over the entry door to keep light from coming in from the shared hallway at night. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

  Property was spotless. High ceilings, comfortable bed, new appliances. Location was perfect, with restaurants and shops close by. Check out Clary's Cafe for breakfast (fast, cheap, excellent!). There was a restaurant right next door to the property to the east with lines of 20+ people waiting for lunch. Communication with Luxury Living via email was prompt and helpful. About a mile walk to river front or a short Uber. Jones Street (supposedly) is one of the most beautiful streets in the country. I agree! Highly recommend!

  well-decorated, and very well run. My contact was excellent. She always answered her phone. When I ran into problems getting a return ride to the airport, she offered to drive me. Above and beyond!
  Just one thing to know is that the beautifully done kitchen is not set up for cooking. Just a few things like a cutting board, knives, etc., would give some basics.

  The rental was in the most beautiful a beautiful old building...next to MRs.Wilkes restaurant but that was not a problem at all. The unit was beautifully done , charming, extremely clean. There was a musty smell that comes with old buildings that you quickly got used to. The bathroom

  What a charming suite, I had visited Savannah in the past and lived there during my college days. I had always wanted to stay on Jones street as anyone visiting can't deny it's probably one of the prettiest streets in Savannah. The suite overlooks Jones street and is the second floor from street level. The view is spectacular, what a great place! It was exactly like you see in the photos. Such a great location too! You’re central to everything you want to see, buy, do, and eat in Savannah all while on a quiet and peaceful street when you’re ready to relax. Have breakfast three blocks down at Clary’s while you take in the sights of these beautiful historic homes. Then head north into downtown through the squares while you see shops and people watch along the way. Then the walk back was not bad all.

  Fantastic space! We really enjoyed the Suite, it was perfect for the two of us. Very comfortable and cozy, but still plenty of space! Fantastic open floorplan, and the full kitchen was perfect for us. Appliances were new and full-sized. We would definitely stay again on our next Savannah trip. Only very small issue is that Mrs. Wilkes place is next door, so there's sometimes a line during lunchtime hours on the sidewalk near the entrance. Since we were out and about during the day, it really wasn't an issue for us, and nothing that would make us annoyed.

  This Jones Street unit was so nice to stay at, we extended our stay. Clean, quiet, and within walking distance of every major site in the Historical District.
  
  The unit is located next to Mrs. Wilkes Kitchen, so expect a long line of people standing outside every day waiting to be served starting as early as 7:45AM (they open at 11).
  
  The private courtyard and shared balcony are nice touches.
  
  The area is safe and quiet.
  
  We ate in a few nights and enjoyed the kitchen.
  
  The only downside would be lack of free parking nearby. There are spaces the company owns 3 blocks away, but this unit has no free onsite parking. You will get a ticket if left on the street, so be sure to purchase a parking permit from the visitor center on your way in.
  
  We will be staying at Luxury Living's properties the next time we visit the Savannah area!

  We stayed in Savannah 2 other times using another service. The property write-up is spot on. The place is very well kept and comfortable. The Chippewa Suite is on the top floor and easy to access. The instructions say how to unlock the front door but not lock it. We figured out you just have to enter in your code again and turn the knob clockwise. We never needed to contact the manager to know if they provide good customer service but the whole process is pretty painless and much easier than the previous units we tried with someone else. Parking is very easy and just a few block north of the unit. There is parking on Jones St but if you walk everywhere anyway just use their private long term parking.
  
  I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone. It's a short walk to all of the things on the river and there are several places to eat within a quarter mile. Crystal Beer Parlor is about 500ft from the door. Although they were closed on the weekend, the next building over (literally spitting distance... about 10 feet away) is Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. I've seen other reviewers complain of the food smell but we never noticed it. May be because they were closed Sat-Mon (open at 11am).
  
  Be aware that the top floor has two units and they share a back patio. There was a couple that stayed in that one for a night but we barely noticed them. The unit is pretty quiet overall. The bathroom is very tidy and nice looking with a decent size walk in shower and a rain nozzle that provides adequate water pressure. The kitchen, living room and bedroom are all very clean, up to date, and very comfortable. The bedroom has more than adequate space to spread out.
  
  Only one knock our whole trip. The cleaning people were doing the unit next door and must have accidentally unlocked our unit first. They did not lock it back so when we got back and found it unlocked it wasn't a good feeling. We're positive we locked it and they were still clea

It is a bit short of amenities as we would have liked an extra blanket as it got very cold one night and there was not extra bedding! Kitchen dishrags and towels would also have been good.
